I fear not the darkness of Yalda night
For her raven-black hair, shimmering bright,
Keeps me warm till the dawn of the coming day,
In the midst of her tresses, I lose my way.
Thousands of strands of her hair,
Guard the hearts of her people, like pomegranate so fair.
She is a symbol of woman, a symbol of life, an emblem of liberty,
She is a symbol of man, a symbol of homeland, of civilization and eternity.
