وداع تلخ است
ولیکن با همه تلخی
بقدر تلخی درک جدایی نیست
امیدی، آرزویی در وداع باشد
که روزی، روزگاری دور یا نزدیک
وصالی هست
اما در جدایی
این و اینها نیست
جدایی زخم ناجور معمایست
که رازش را نمیدانند
که سرّش را نمیفهمند
نمیدانند کجای گنبد دوّار
کدامین لحظه است
آن لحظه دیدار
وداع سخت است
ولی باآنهمه سختی
بقدر تلخی درک جدایی نیست ...

Farewell is bitter,
Yet with all its bitterness,
It doesn't match the understanding of separation.
In farewell, there is hope, a wish,
That someday, sometime, near or far,
There is a reunion.
But in separation,
There is none of this.
Separation is a festering wound, a mystery,
Whose secret they do not know,
Whose essence they do not understand.
They do not know where in the revolving dome,
Which moment it is,
The moment of meeting.
Farewell is hard,
But with all its hardness,
It doesn't match the bitterness of understanding separation...
